de-Stabilizing

-
This proposal forms a passage that operates on one's spatial orientation. As one walks along a level boardwalk, the surrounding enclosure gradually shifts changing its relationship to the boardwalk floor as one moves through it. This is almost imperceptible as one moves through focusing on the imagery on the enclosure's surface. When the end of the enclosure is reached, a destabilizing effect occurs as one's visual and bodily perceptions must be resolved. One must visually shift the depth of field from a close focus to a deep focus. The level line of the horizon restores a sense of balance and stability.
